Go to the below site and tryout. From the above link I have selected the one design that I liked to have in my site accepted terms and it has given me a div that I have pasted in my html page.
I am not answering to your problem on JQuery, but giving you an alternate solution for your problem. I'm making a system where a user clicks a button and their score increases. There is a counter which I would like to increase the value of using jQuery so that the page does not need to refresh when the button is clicked.
Also, when the button is clicked, it needs to send a request which updates the score value in a mysql database as well, without the page refreshing. Does anyone know how I would do that? I've tried a few of the methods below, but nothing seems to work! Do I need to change anything else for it to work? I've created a test page for it:. I'm going to try this the following way.
I've placed the count variable inside the "onfocus" function so as to keep it from becoming a global variable.
The idea is to create a counter for each image in a tumblr blog. Several of the suggestions above use global variables. This is not a good solution for the problem.
The count is specific to one element, and you can use jQuery's data function to bind an item of data to an element:. Note also that this uses the callback syntax of html to make the code more fluent and fast. It did awesomely worked. How would I go about this?

count the number of times button is clicked
However, binding click events on each element manually might not be the most practical way of accomplishing this. Or we might want to fire a certain event if user clicks on anything but particular element s. I will describe one of such scenarios below and offer one of possible solutions to it using jQuery. We want the item list to stay open until user clicks on the menu toggle button or somewhere outside the item list. We have a basic layout with menu list being hidden by default.
We have a CSS class. Now we need to bind the functionality to. We can easily do this using jQuery:. Great, we have toggle button functionality! All we need to do now is figure out a way to detect clicks outside of the menu list and hide the list when out of bounds click is detected.
Again, jQuery makes this task an easy one. This way if someone unbinds 'click' event on the body, it will not break our hideMenu handler. If we want to remove this we have to unbind 'click. We can use this object to get anything and everything regarding object user has clicked on. In the code above, I'm checking for parent class of the clicked element. If the parent class is.
NOTE: e. In our scenario, child element is always going to be on top of the parent element. So while every click on the screen is technically click on the body, e. However, we might have multiple absolutely positioned elements occupying the same area.
In this case, the element with higher z-index will be returned. Slavko Pesic. In reply to Thank you by tam.

What I need to do is count the number of times it is clicked, and pass that value along with form values to the next page for PHP processing. First let me give a very quick overview. What we did above was count the number of shoots they are ordering. That number gets passed to the email script where I need to email the results of the form. What I am having trouble with is I need to only email the results, and not have empty data. So really 30 forms worth of data are sent.
What I am trying to do is tell the email script how many of the fields are filled out. The fields follow the logic of cap number plus field name. So a data set might look like:. The problem of course is that this will contain 30 sets, but with a lot of empty ones. So how can I use that number I obtained from your script and only email the ones that have data?
I am using the following email code:. There is one form with 30 data sets repeated. Each is in a hidden div and the next is shown when the button is clicked. There are multiple ways of going about it. Can I see the names of the fields in each dataset?Xvr app for pc
That way I could build up the code more efficiently. That makes sense. But when shown I can usually run with it. So how do I get my email to use that array? Not sure how to make that work with that email script. That is my hang up now. Ok, I see that I cannot do that. Looks like I either need to have the email script on the same page or use sessions to pass the data to another page.
I did have each field individually named, but it may make more sense to make an array for each field. Click here for the example. This is how it is currently setup. There are 30 sets of the fields i posted above, so they would be named like this:. If it has a chance of not being filled in, change it to a mandatory field.
Those would not exist. Should it not be description? Looks as though you may have based it off the fields I gave you being individually named.Sponsored by and others. Copy code. Please tell us why you want to mark the subject as inappropriate. Maximum characters. Report Inappropriate Cancel.

You can iterate each buttoncreate counter variable that can only be accessible by the button and increment it on click.
A closure should do the trick, as described in this article. So, there is no need to define a global variable to count clicks and pollute the global namespace.

Hey guys. I was curious if it was possible to query how many times something that has toggle bound to it has been clicked.#10 Android studio tutorial - How to count number of Button clicks in Android. NEW
Is this possible? Replies 3. Re: [jQuery] Get number of times a link has been "toggled" or clicked? It is possible, but has to me manually recorded by you. You'll need to attach a click event onto each link you want tracked, then you'll need to increment a counter and store that counter as meta data for each link. Leave a comment on motoxross's reply. I don't think it's worth a whole plugin to to this - it is relatively simple to add a counter to the toggle event functions, and to use the data object to store your counts.
